Medford, OR is a picturesque city that prides itself on being the “heart” of Southern Oregon. A tourism hotspot, Forbes listed Medford as a global wine destination for its many vineyards and perfect growing conditions. There’s plenty to do during the summer months in this outdoor paradise, whether it be hiking, fishing, white-water rafting, or taking in one of the many great festivals. There’s also an eclectic food scene happening. Here are some of the best pizza joints in town.

Kaleidoscope Pizzeria & Pub

Stone-baked pizza lovers unite. This locally owned gem produces some of the best pie in the region with its fresh and often locally sourced ingredients. It’s artisanal pizza at its best and the vibe is apparent when you step into the hip dining space, adorned with work from local artists. The service is fantastic, and they’ll make you feel right at home. Kaleidoscope also has the distinction of being repeatedly voted the top pizza in Medford by the Medford Trail Tribune.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza

This funky joint serves some excellent pizza using only the freshest ingredients available. They’ve become a fan favorite for their consistency in providing tasty pies with generous toppings and perfect crusts. If you’re a pepperoni lover don’t miss MM’s rendition. It’s loaded to the edges with pep-cups and makes for a worthy Instagram shot. Pikes Peak is another local favorite that can’t be missed.

The Copper Plank

The Copper Plank is a taproom first, but don’t let that fool you into thinking they don’t make world-class pizza. The homemade pizzas at the Plank have a reputation of being among the best in all of Medford. Aside from the pizza, they have delicious breadsticks that you’re going to want to try. Of course, you’ll have to wash it all down with a cold one from one of the 51 beer varieties they have on tap. Just be sure not to drink and drive.

Martolli’s Hand Tossed Pizza

Martolli’s serves up scrumptious hand-tossed thin-crust style pizza that’s loaded with toppings balanced by a homemade sauce and just the right amount of cheese. You can taste the quality of the fresh ingredients whether you get a classic pepperoni and mushroom, spectacular prosciutto, or their world-famous Margherita. It’s a colorful atmosphere with some interesting and friendly folks staffing the joint. It’s definitely a must-stop in the Medford area.

Pizza Mia Wood Fired Pizza

We’d be remiss if we left the food trucks out of this list, considering Oregon is one of the first states to put them on the map. Pizza Mia fires up classic wood oven pies in a hurry, delivering perfect, crispy results every time. They have a small but delicious menu that includes prosciutto, salami, pesto, and even one called Ole if you like your pizza with a kick of poblano peppers.

When you’ve finished your pizza tour be sure to head on down to Airport Cadillac and let our friendly staff cook up a great deal on new and used vehicles for you.
