Your Cadillac is not only luxurious, stylish, and head-turning, but it also contains a wide range of technology that helps keep you safe. We want to tell you about some of the Cadillac driver assistance features you’ll find in your vehicle.
Cadillac Driver Assistance Features That Protect You and Your Passengers
Luxury meets cutting-edge safety in Cadillac’s lineup of premium SUVs and EV SUVs. Whether you’re behind the wheel of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade, XT6, or the all-electric LYRIQ, you’ll experience state-of-the-art driver assistance technologies that make every journey safer and more confident.
At Airport Cadillac in Medford, OR, we’re highlighting the top Cadillac driver assistance features that protect you and your passengers.
Rear Pedestrian Alert
When reversing, it can be difficult to spot pedestrians as they can easily move behind you with little warning. This feature uses a rear-mounted camera to identify pedestrians and alert you to prevent an accident. If a pedestrian is detected, a yellow icon of a pedestrian in a triangle will appear on your camera screen. You’ll also hear a series of low warning beeps.
If the pedestrian is very close and there’s a risk of hitting them, the warning icon is colored red, and the system continually beeps as a warning to hit the brakes and prevent a collision.
Blind Zone Steering Assist
This feature warns you of vehicles in the blind zones to either side of your Cadillac. It’s very helpful when you want to change lanes, as the system continually monitors the blind zones for approaching vehicles. Sensors in these zones will detect an approaching vehicle, and you’ll see a lane change alert and an icon appear on the corresponding side mirror.
Six low-pitched beeps will sound, and the steering wheel supplies push back to warn you of potential danger. This enables you to take control and steer back into your lane until the vehicle moves away. If the system detects you’re not actively steering, you’ll also see a warning to take control of the steering wheel.
Automatic Emergency Braking & Forward Collision Alert
Safety is a priority in every Cadillac SUV and EV, from the XT4 to the Escalade-V. Automatic Emergency Braking detects potential front-end collisions and applies the brakes if necessary. This system uses a camera or radar and a camera, depending on your model, to identify a vehicle ahead. If something is detected, the system compares your speed to the distance to the other vehicle to determine if there’s a collision risk. If a risk exists, you’ll hear eight high-pitched beeps and a red collision warning will appear on your screen, advising you to brake and prevent a collision.
Standard on the 2025 Cadillac XT5, XT6, Escalade, and LYRIQ
Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
No matter if you’re driving the all-electric 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ EV or the gas-powered Cadillac XT6, Lane Keep Assist keeps you centered on the road. This feature uses a camera to identify the lane line markings. Once the markings are identified, the system warns you if you’re about to leave your lane unintentionally. An amber lane keep assist warning will appear on your screen, and the steering wheel will give you a nudge to warn you to steer back into the lane.
You’ll hear three beeps, and a warning to take control of the steering wheel will appear if the system determines you’re not actively steering. This system won’t activate if you’re actively attempting to change lanes.
Available on the XT4, XT5, XT6, Escalade, and LYRIQ EV.
